Full-length rotor shaft with taper lock mounting for easy on-site servicing
2-row, 3-row or 4-row rotors are available depending on rotor diameter. Rotor construction is heavy-duty, open disc, welded, stress relieved and statically balanced. The rotor is mounted on an oversized full-length shaft with taper lock elements between the shaft and the end disks. The shaft is supported by large diameter self aligning spherical roller bearings that are taper sleeve mounted. Bearings are mounted in special Stedman design housings consisting of one piece blocks with cover plates.
Stedman’s Grand Slam provides new, advanced crusher chamber design. Breaker plate assemblies are built to withstand tremendous assault. Heavyduty breaker plates are 3″ tapered heat-treated hi-chrome or alloy steel for extended service and superior resistance to highly abrasive feed.
Unexcelled in throughput
Feed enters the primary crushing chamber and meets the breaker bars which impel the feed against the front breaker
plate. This action and the collision of material against new feed results in impact reduction. Material sufficiently reduced in the primary chamber passes by the front breaker plate and enters the secondary chamber for final reduction. Breaker plates are shaft suspended at the front and suspended from a spindle in the rear, allowing for continuous gap adjustment as wear progresses and assuring superior product control.
