They are transported to stock ground which is normally situated near the reconstruction project in order to save transport cost. The concrete materials are then crushed, and screened. The process is the same with that of new aggregate production process.
However, there are two points to pay attention:
1. Since there are some impurities such as timber, pouredcrackfiller or plastics, you have to separate them from the waste concrete before it is crushed and screened. Usually, you can use air compressor to blow the impurities out from waste concrete.
2. What’s more, there are steels such as rebar, tie bar, and draw steel in waste concrete. In order to separate the steel materials from waste concrete, an electric magnetic iron remover is added between concrete crushing equipments and screening equipments.
