The TITAN® Double Shaft Hammer Crusher is the perfect solution for crushing applications in the cement industry. Typical tasks are wet limestone , wet marl, clay, chalk, gypsum and similar raw materials.

The TITAN® Double Shaft Hammer Crusher allows to crush run of mine material in one step down to the required product size either for vertical roller mills as for ball mills. The TITAN® Double Shaft Hammer Crusher is known for proved reliability and advanced heavy duty design, ensuring a long service life. The feed material is continuously fed to the crusher by an apron feeder .

Large material boulders are precrushed by the hammers between the rotors. Subsequent reduction takes place on the anvil before the
finished product is calibrated on the discharge grate.

The main crushing process of a Double Shaft Hammer Crusher is performed by rotating hammers between the rotors and on the anvil. It is important to understand, that the material is not ‘ground’ on the grate baskets. The grate baskets calibrate the material grain size by different openings, in order to produce raw material either for ball mills (0/25 mm) or vertical mills (0/80 mm).

Five axle rotor
Patented by ThyssenKrupp Based on its long operational experience ThyssenKrupp developed a new rotor concept for the TITAN® crushers with an impact circle diameter of 2m.

Instead of six axles the number of hammer rows of the rotors was reduced to five. This modified design results in an optimized penetration of the lumps between the hammers and an aggressive and fast crushing process. ‘Rolling’ of the stones on the rotor and
blocking of the crusher is eliminated with this new system. In addition the new geometry of the pentagon shaped rotor shafts and the
modified discs allowed to increase the weight of the hammers resulting in stronger impact forces and an optimized wear volume of the hammers. The benefits for the client are higher throughput rates at reduced operational and maintenance costs.

Hammer axle extraction device
To reduce maintenance time every TITAN® Double Shaft hammer crusher is equipped with an hammer axle extraction device allowing to turn or to change the hammers completely within one shift. ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnik TITAN® crushers are operated today with cast or forged hammers always optimized for the specific application to reduce wear and extend life time.

Grate basket carrier
To change the grate baskets underneath the rotors the housing of the TITAN® Crusher is equipped with wide opening side doors making it possible to change the grate baskets with the help of the hydraulic actuated grate basket carrier very easily.

The stated values are only approximate. The guiding values depend on the crushing duty (characteristics of feed material, product requirements) und the crusher configuration. In case of need, throughput rates are determined for the specified crushing duty.
