Liberia is situated on the West African coast, bordered by Sierra Leone to the northwest, Guinea to the north, and the Côte d’Ivoire to the east. Liberia also has 300 kilometers (186 miles) of coastline on the Atlantic Ocean. Its land area is 111,370 square kilometers (43,000 square miles). The capital, Monrovia, is on the Atlantic coast.
Liberia Putu Iron Ore Mining Brief Introduction
The Putu iron ore project is part of a 425km² exploration tenement located in south-east Liberia. The mine includes a 12km ridge of banded iron formation that consists of haematite and magnetite. It is jointly owned by African Aura Mining (38.5%) and Severstal Resources (61.5%). Iron minerals within the Putu deposit consist pre-dominantly of magnetite-itabirite. A thick layer of haematite-itabirite lies over the magnetite-itabirite minerals. Mineralisation is high in grade and very high regionally. It contains low values of phosphorous and alumina.
In the Liberia iron ore mining project, we have offered iron ore crushers and iron ore ball mill for the pre-processing of iron mine. For hard rocks crushing like iron ore, we recommend you choose our PE jaw crusher , CS cone crusher and VSI vertical shaft impact crushers. There will be iron ore ball mills provided and related feeding and screening equipment provided.

In the large plant, we adopt four-stages crushing and three-stages screening process. For primary crushing, jaw crusher with PE 1200*1500 model is chosen. And for secondary and tertiary crushing, various of cone crushers are used and two units of cone crushers are specially used for tertiary crushing. Last, in the quaternary crushing, two units of VSI crushers are used. To get materials with required fineness more precisely, we have used multi-screening equipment with different layers.
