Mineral Benefication Plant

June 26, 2023 nflg 0 Comments

We specialize in the design, detailed engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of mineral beneficiation plants for the following: Lead-Zinc-Copper- Pyrite Ores, Rock Phosphate Ore, Fluorspar Ores, Tin Tungsten Ores, etc. We have already designed a low-grade rock phosphate beneficiation plant and commissioned it in India. This is the first plant set up in the private sector, which has been working successfully.

We have a team of experts in evaluation of ore characteristics and development of basic engineering for setting up beneficiation plants for the metallic and non-metallic ores.

Phosphoric Acid Plant

The Sulfuric Acid, Rock phosphate Mineral Powder and water are mixed in a agitated process vessel connected with scrubber system. The above slurry solution is filtered and the filterate is Collected in another agitated process vessel as Crude Phosphoric Acid for further processing. The solid part is Gypsum, which is thoroughly washed with water to make it free from Crude Phosphoric Acid. The wash water \ recycled water containing phosphoric Acid is recycled in next batch with Rock phosphate and Sulphuric Acid. During this step the impurities of Rock Phosphate Mineral [such as Florspar CaF2, CaCo3 Lime stone] are reacted with Sulphuric Acid. The CaF2 forms HF with sulphuric Acid.

The HF is reacted with Silica to forms SiF4 is highly soluble in water to form H2SiF6 and silica inside the Scrubber as well as inside the agitated Process vessel. This Acid is concentrated and the concern condensate in neutralised with Ca(OH)2 & insoluble precipitate is mixed with hyproduct Gypsum. The Crude Phosphoruc Acid contains further some H2SiF6 The H2SiF6 [Hydro Silicic acid or Hexa Fluoro Silicaste] is mixed with Lime stone Powder to form insoluble Florspar (CaF2), which is soluble only in strong concentrate acid. This is also filtered with partial precipitate of Calcium Phosphate (Tri) this insoluble is recycled with Acid recovery of P2O5 in Adulation process with Rock Phosphate. After filtering above Slurry Solution, the filterate is Purified Phosphoric Acid.

Synthetic Gypsum Plant

Lime Stone is ground to min. 65% -300 mesh and is stored in the over head bin. Automatic weigh scale is installed to control the feed into Mixer. Sulphuric acid (60-98%) and water is pumped to Mixer. Sulphuric Acid and water is metered with an automatic control meter which maintains acid-Lime powder-water ratio at the pre-determined setting. The discharge of Mixer goes into DEN (a specially designed equipment ). In DEN material cured slowly under the suction for collecting of gas generate in the Mixer and DEN.

The Synthetic Gypsum material is transferred from DEN to storage piles, where further curing takes place. It contains about 12% moisture and during this maturing stage the moisture content reduces. It is dug out with a Grab Bucket E.O.T. crane for further processing or dispatched in bulk or packed form.
